The integrated campus consists of Sagar Institute of Technology( SITECH), Food and Agribusiness School ( FABS). Infrastructure facilties are also created for starting Sagar Business School (SBS).
SITECH is promoted on the lines of Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT), by providing world class infrastructure, invigorating learning environment, motivating expert faculty and extensive industrial network for practical learning atmosphere. The aim is to create global entrepreneurs who create jobs but not job seekers. The aspirants of IITs can look at SITECH as an alternative.
FABS aims at creating the innovative leaders for converting Indian Agriculture from “ a way of life” to an “ enterprise” . The Indian farmers must get enterprising leaders to advise them to run their enterprise. FABS proposes to bridge one of the four deficits of the agriculture sector, namely “ Managerial deficit” ( the other three being technology deficit, infrastructure deficit, investment deficit). FABS also proposes to “link the farmers to the markets” through its capacity building activities at various levels, to all the stake holders in the supply chain including the farmers.
FABS will launch its flagship programme in Agri Business Management through its 2-year, fully residential Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) (Agri Business). Classes for the 1st batch of PGDM (Agri Business) will commence on 31st August 2009.
