Creators of FABS

SVVR Educational Society  is promoted by the reputed SAGAR group of industries. The flagship company of the group is Sagar Cements. The group has interests in diverse areas such as power, infrastructure, software and agrictulture. Sagar group as part of its CSR programme is actively involved in developing IT education facilities and providing health and education services in rural areas.


Chief Patron: Professor M S Swaminathan has been acclaimed by TIME magazine as one of the twenty most influential Asians of the 20th century and one of the only three from India, the other two being Mahatma Gandhi and Rabindranath Tagore. He has been described by the United Nations Environment PRogramme as “the Father of Economic Ecology” and by Javier Perez de Cuellar, Secretary General of the United Nations, as “a living legend who will go into the annals of history as world scientist of a rare distinction”. He was Chairman of the UN Science Advisory Committee set up in 1980; Independent Chairman of the FAO Council and President of the International  Union for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources . Prof. Swaminathan is hailed as father of green revolution in India. In recognition of his outstanding contribution to Indian agrictulture, Government of India awarded to Prof. Swaminathan Padma Sri 1967, Padma Bhushan in 1972, and Padma Vibhushan in 1989. He was awarded 58 honorary degrees by various universities of the world, and 95 awards and recognitions by national and international agencies.

Sri S Veera Reddy, the President of Society, is a first generation industrialist who founded the SAGAR group. He has diverse industrial experience in the areas of cement, infrastructure and power generation among others. He was past President of Cement Manufacturers’ Association of India.

Dr. WR Reddy, Secretary of the Society, is a doctorate from country’s premier agrictultural Institute – the Indian Agrictural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi. He had over 20 years of experience in managing a variety of agribusiness institutions like National Institute of Agricultural Marketing (NIAM), Jaipur; MILMA, Trivandrum; horiticulture mission and agriculture departments of Government of India.

Sri BG Reddy, Vice – President of the Society has an MBA in Rural Management from the most reputed rural management Institute in the country – Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA). He has over 25 years of rich experience in the corporate sector, research&consultancy and development management.

Dr. NRN Reddy, a Member of the Society , is a doctorate in  agriculture from IARI, New Delhi. He was formerly an officer of Indian Revenue Service ( Customs & Central Excise) who left the service in pursuit of creating institutions for social service. Dr. Reddy brings wealth of experience from his experience in agriculture research & training, and international trade.

Mrs. K Anuradha, Joint Secretary of the society, and Mrs. W. Malathi, Member of the Society, are technocrats with rich experience in the software sector.

In addition to the above professionals and dedicated promoters of the Society, FABS is bakced by highly renowned educationalists in the form of Board of Management as given  below.

Dr. K Prathap Reddy, former Director of Institute of Rural Management ( IRMA), Anand, Gujarat, He has master degree in agriculture and doctorate from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad ( Fellow,IIMA). He had nearly 30 years of experience in teaching, training, consultancy and research in the ares of agriculture, agribusiness and rural management.

Mr. BM Vyas, Managing Director, Gujarat Milk Marketing Cooperative Federation (GCMMF), Anand. GCMMF is one of the largest food companies in India, popularly called “Amul”

Prof. Vishwanatham is a senior Professor at Indian School of Business (ISB) , Hyderabad. He is also the Executive Director of the Centre for Global Logistics and Manufacturing Strategies at ISB.  Prof. Vishwanadham specializes in logistics and supply chain management.

Prof .MS  Sriram is ICICI Bank Lalita D Gupta Chair Professor in Microfinance & Chairperson, Finance and Accounting Area at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. ** Yet to confirm

Mr. Sanjeev Asthana is President & CE , Agri Business & Food Supply Chain of Reliance Retail, Gurgaon. Mr. Asthana has vast experience of over 20 years in the development, food and agri business sector.
