Partnerships with Academic Institutions
MOU with RVJ Eurasia Food and Agro Services BV,Netherlands
Food and Agri Business School [FABS], Hyderabad and RVJ Eurasia Food and Agro Services BV, Netherlands have signed an MoU. As part of the MoU, FABS and RVJ Services will introduce each other as collaborating partners and will make use of this collaboration as a base to promoting mutually beneficial programmes and activities. The overall objective of the MoU will be to connect European and Indian Food & Agro Supply Chains in a meaningful way. More specifically, FABS & RVJ Services will
- Establish other partnerships to complement and serve their joint businesses/projects in an effective and holistic manner.
- Jointly design and conduct different training programs as per the market requirements in both Europe and India.
- Jointly enable/facilitate businesses that can close the quality GAP between European and Indian Food Supply Chains. In the long-term both these entities envision becoming the orchestrators of Food Supply Chains.
- Carry out different customized research initiatives to understand the opportunities that exist within and between these two markets.
- Work towards strengthening FABS European priorities by working in close cooperation with FABS. On similar lines, FABS will work towards strengthening the RVJ Services Indian priorities/offerings.
- Develop mutually beneficial and interesting projects with both short-term and long-term perspective. The decision on the benefits and cost sharing shall be made on a project-by-project basis.
MOU with National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE),Hyderabad
National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE), Hyderabad and Food and Agribusiness School (FABS), Hyderabad have entered into an MoU to work together in the areas of:
- Long duration academic programmes
- Research, knowledge generation and publication
- Sharing faculty and knowledge resources
- Rural and agriculture sector transformation programmes implementation
- Any other mutually acceptable area
In addition to providing each others’ library and knowledge resources, the collaboration would include jointly conducting / organizing:
- Research
- Seminars and workshops
- Training programmes
The details of collaborative programmes in the above areas, including roles and responsibilities of MANAGE and FABS, and sharing expenditure and facilities will be decided on case to case basis.
MoU between ANGRAU, Hyderabad and FABS (SVVR Educational Society) Hyderabad
Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU), Hyderabad,and Food and Agribusiness School (FABS), SVVR Educational Society, Hyderabad Have signed an MoU on May 25, 2009 rural transformation in general and transformation of agriculture sector in particular. During these talks it was also realized that the task of facilitating the modernization of India's agriculture and agribusiness sectors is far beyond the capabilities of a single institution. It was therefore felt that both the organizations would benefit by working together on issues of rural and agriculture sector transformation. It is therefore proposed to enter into an agreement to work together in the areas of:
- Long duration academic programmes
- Research, knowledge generation and publication
- Sharing faculty and knowledge resources
- Rural and agriculture sector transformation programmes implementation
- Any other mutually acceptable area

During the occasion, Dr. P Raghava Reddy, Vice-Chancellor, ANGRAU had stressed that ANGRAU is in the process of developing partnerships with some Agricultural Universities in USA to further strengthen its already strong technological base. He stressed that MoU with FABS will help strengthen management courses articularly for its commercial agribusiness management courses. Dr. WR Reddy, Secretary of FABS mentioned that agriculture in India need to be transformed to “as enterprises” from “a way of life”. Strategies that help in linking small & marginal farmers and even large farmers with markets play an important role in this transformation. Prof. K Prathap Reddy, Director, FABS mentioned that FABS hopes to take help from ANGRAu in technology management while FABS will extend its support to management courses. Thus this MoU would be a win-win partnership for both the organizations.
