Director of SITECH
Prof. Dr. E. G. Rajan is the Director of the Sagar Institute of Technology. He is an Electronics Engineer and a Professor of Signal Processing having about 35 years of experience in teaching, research and administration. He has a number of publications to his credit. He is a professional member of ACM and he is an editor of the journal of AMSE, Barcelona, Spain.
He received his Ph.D degree in Electrical Engineering, (Signal and Image Processing), from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur, U.P., M.E. degree in Applied Electronics, from Madras University, the then famous DMIT in Electronics Engineering from the Madras Institute of Technology, Chromepet, Madras and B.Sc degree in Physics from Madras University.
His contribution to the state-of-the-art of Electronic Warfare ad Support Measures has been well recognized by the Cabinet Secretariat, Government of India and industrial sectors (DRDO). He was a noted teacher in the department of Electrical Engineering of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. He received Distinguished Scientist and Man of the Millennium Award from Who is Who Bibliographical Records, Cambridge, 2000. Anna University, Coimbatore is in the process of honouring him as its Distinguished Professor of Excellence in Research. He was twice invited by the Lincoln Laboratory of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Lexington to participate in the Space Surveillance workshop and address the peer group working on Military Electronic Systems. He offered short term courses and workshops in Florida State University, Tallahassee, Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, PENN State University, State College, Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge and University of South Western Louisiana La Fayette. He authored many books like, Symbolic Computing – Signal and Image Processing, Electronic Order of Battle Records of Military Radars, and Computers and Information Technology. He has originated a novel paradigm Symbolic Computing In the Framework of Markov’s Constructive Mathematical Logic and patentable concepts in Genomic Signal Processing, Molecular Computing, Codon Space, Deductive Theory of Space, Time and Consciousness, Rajan Transform, Multi Valued Logic, (2n+1)-ary Discrete Logic and Algebras, Constructive Sets ad Function Spaces, Celular Logic Array Processing, to name a few. He has guided more than 25 PhD students and 30 M.Tech students. He has published a number of research papers in noted journals like IEEE, Pergamon, and IJSCI.
To outline his administrative career, he has been commanding special mission flights as an integral part of Electronic Support Measures (ESM) and taken active part in the formulation of various national security policies. He was involved in the formulation of specialized courses for Door Darshan in IIT Kanpur and M.Tech curriculum for DAIICT, Gandhi Nagar. He is Honorary Director of Rajiv Gandhi International School of Information Technology of the MG-NIRSA, Hyderabad and a Board Member in the Computer Science Department of the University of Mysore. He is the advisory committee member of the ICFAI School of Information Technology, Hyderabad and the Monadic University, Uttar Pradesh. He holds the position of Honorary Chairman, Pentagram Group of Companies, and an MNC in India.
To outline his involvement in SITECH, he leads the entire team of SITECH in the capacity of a full time Director with a commitment and determination to make it a model institution which would excel in academics and research with a seamless blend of entrepreneurship and social commitment.

SITECH is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kukatpally, Hyderabad and it offers UG programmes in:

Department of Civil Engineering
Purpose of this program
The Civil Engineering undergraduate program of SITECH prepares students to face real-world challenges by providing a sound education in mathematics, physics, science and engineering fundamentals, all while emphasizing hands-on design projects and case studies that supply context and motivation. Students are taught how to combine theory, measurement and modeling to develop a good understanding of the problems at hand and point the way to desirable solutions.
Because of recent real estate crisis, the experts of civil engineering, architects, and material experts are looking for various ways of reducing the cost of construction with the help of innovative solutions. It has become a dire necessity to look for alternative materials for construction, new methods of construction, and designs for minimizing the costs. Construction based on the concept of Green housing is another new area catching up for reducing the energy intensive materials and make efficient users of natural energy.
SITECH is collaborating with renowned persons and agencies in this area for giving a new direction and make civil engineering most appropriate for today and future needs of the society.
The departmental unit requirements are based on the ones stipulated by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kukatpally, Hyderabad, India, providing flexibility for students who wish to have different electives in the fourth year of their study. Further, value-added courses are also planned for those students who desire to have expert knowledge in areas related to but not restricted to Fluid Mechanics, Remote Sensing and GIS, Traffic Systems and Control, Pollution Control and Environmental Studies.
The Civil Engineering Department of SITECH has signed an MOU with Sagar Cements who are one of the oldest cement manufacturers and now collaborated with VICAT a French company for expansion for collaboration and as incubation centre. The collaborator will provide a platform for practical training of the under graduates. Similarly the collaboration is established with M/s Satyavani Homes, a consultancy company in civil engineering, and number of infrastructure companies for placement. Further, the department would focus on specialized areas of applied research like Behavior of Metal Structures, Design of Concrete Shells, Advanced Matrix Analysis of Structures, Dynamic Design of Structures, Reliability Assessment of Structures, Structural Steel Design, Reinforced Concrete Design, Structural 3D Modeling, Structural 2D Drafting, Architectural Animation such as Product Animation, Walkthrough, and Flythrough, Architectural Rendering, Architectural 3D Modeling, Architectural 2D Drafting, 3D Aerial View, Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage, Transportation Mapping Services, Urban Planning Mass Transportation, Micro-electromechanical Systems, Drainage & Storm water Management, Remote Sensing and GIS, Greening of Surface Transport, Modal Shift and Decongesting Transport Corridors, Mcroelectromechanical (MEMs) in Transportation Engineering, Discrete Fluids, Subsurface Imaging, and Oceanographic Analysis. Technical and financial support would be sought from industries, Government organizations and Laboratories for establishing Advanced Centres for Research in certain areas mentioned above.
This program provides a solid foundation for practice in both classical and newly developing areas of civil engineering, including structural analysis and design, engineering materials, geotechnical analysis and design, sustainable built environments, and transportation and logistics. It also provides a solid foundation for graduate studies and a direct transition to the Master of Engineering program.
Department of Computer Science and Engineering
What do we get out of this program ?
Graduates of SITECH’s Computer Science and Engineering department would find opportunities in many IT and IT enabled industries to work in a broad range of areas. They would be able to improve the stability and security of computers and computer networks. They would be able to come up with solutions to various real time problems faced by IT enabled industries and organizations. For instance, with the help of Business Analysts or Electronics Engineers and Mechanical Engineers, they would be able to create novel algorithms to analyze financial markets or even to design robots capable of thinking like human beings. Our community members (Faculty and Students) would continually make efforts to bring out breakthroughs in the theoretical computer science, logic and nontraditional computing.
What do we plan to do ?
Apart from ensuring an in-depth education in engineering principles built on mathematics, and computation, as stipulated by the affiliating university JNTU, we also plan to provide opportunities to the students to learn the physical and life sciences, and encourage them to apply what they learn through projects, internships, and research. We will succeed in our mission to produce graduates capable of taking leadership positions in the field of computer science and possibly beyond.

The department of Computer Science and Engineering of SITECH has an understanding with M/s Sagar Soft Inc, a USA based Software Company for imparting practical training and developing technical competence in our students and faculty in various traditional and specialized areas related to Computer Science and Engineering. We are also likely to have a technical tie up with top notch companies like Microsoft and HP. This program permits the undergraduates take a common core of subjects in the realm of Computer Science and Engineering, and then systematically build upon that broad foundation in terms of special and elective courses and projects to deepen their understanding in areas that match their individual interests.
Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering is committed to offer the undergraduate program B.Tech that augments the curriculum stipulated by the affiliating university JNTU, and to impart a basic understanding of Electronics and Communication Engineering built on a foundation of physical science, mathematics, computing, and allied technology. The graduates are expected to have the basic experimental, design, and communication skills to be prepared for continued study at the graduate level or for entry level positions that require a basic knowledge of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
Overview of the curriculum
Technical Knowledge: The program offers all basic courses including Control Systems Theory, Electronic Circuits, Electromagnetic Fields and Microwaves, Communication Systems, Signal and Image Processing, Radar and TV Engineering, Mobile Communication and Computing, Satellite Communication, Microprocessors and Microcontrollers, Digital Systems Design, VLSI and Embedded Systems
Laboratory and Design Skills: Special attention is given to students so that they develop the basic skills needed to perform and design experimental projects and also develop the ability to formulate problems and projects and to plan a process for solution taking advantage of diverse technical knowledge and skills.
Preparation for the Profession: Extra and Co-curricular activities are planned for the students which would prepare them to face the broad spectrum of issues arising in professional practice, including teamwork, leadership, safety, ethics, service, economics, and core competence.

Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering offers the undergraduate program B.Tech with the idea of imparting basic knowledge in Electrical Engineering as well as in Electronics Engineering, especially in Power Electronics. Our graduates are expected to possess appreciable knowledge in the relevant common core of subjects of Electrical Engineering and exhibit a high level competency and expertise in solving practical problems that are frequently faced by the industries in the energy, control and automation sectors.
About Us and Our Activities
Qualified faculty: The department has well qualified faculty members fully committed to teaching and research. Experienced people from various industries are also drawn as Visiting Professors and some are from other departments of SITECH as Adjunct Faculty.
State-of-the-art laboratories: The department would be equipped with modern laboratories like Electrical Machines and Systems Research Laboratory with LabView and SCADA, Power Electronics Laboratory, Control and Automation Laboratory, Robotics Research Laboratory, and Non-conventional Energy Systems Research Laboratory.
Training of Students: Students are required to credit core subjects and some elective courses stipulated by the affiliating university JNTU. In addition, they are permitted to audit certain value added courses designed by our department. These value added courses like SCADA based control of electrical machines, LabView based automation, Low Energy Nuclear Reaction (LENR) based power generation, Machine Vision and Pattern recognition.
To begin with, SITECH has understanding with M/s Sagar Power Ltd, Vijaya Electricals for placement and practical training. However, the department has already examined recent trends in Electrical Engineering Research and identified certain areas like Stability Analysis of Electrical Grids, Study of Atmospheric Lightning, Power Generation from Wastages, Solar Cooling Systems, Underwater cabling, Hydral and Atomic Power Generation, Non-conventional Energy Resources, Low Energy Nuclear Reaction Based Electrical Power Generation, Stirling Generators, Aero Generators, SCADA based control of power systems, PLCs based Automation, Autonomous Mobile Systems, Collision Avoidance Systems, Tracking Systems, Carbon Capture Technology, Activated Carbon Injection, Circulating Fluidized Bed, Industrial Process Automation, Study of the Electro-Magneto-Hydro Dynamical property of Ionosphere, High Voltage DC Transmission, Battery Designs, Magneto Electret cells, Fuel Cells, Carbon Nanotubes and MEMs, Dielectric testing, and Nano robots. Mr. Eugine Pandala – is a renowned architect of contemporary period from Kerala with specialization in environment friendly architecture.
Mr. Surya Prakash – He is the Chairman and Managing Director of M/s Satyavani Holmes, Hyderabad. Mr. Surya Prakash is an experienced civil engineer and designer with specialization in low cost design and construction.
Centre for Development of Employable Skills (CDES)
In one of his articles, David Orr of Context Institute raised an interesting question about the purpose of education. Quoting Wiesel, he mentioned that education in most institutions “emphasized theories instead of values, concepts rather than human beings, abstraction rather than conscientiousness, answers instead of questions … efficiency rather than conscience.” We believe that good education should provide a balanced mix of inputs that enriches one’s mind and soul. In addition, many of the students passing out of various engineering and management colleges lack depth in soft skills like articulation, communication and emotional resilience. In order to impart a right mix of inputs for emotional balance, personality development, and theoretical and applied managerial skills, a Centre for Development of Employable Skills is set up as a unique facility in the campus. The Center will use proven techniques such as Yoga, Art of Living, Meditation, and personal growth labs for this purpose. Over and above, the CDES would encourage students and faculty too to participate in government sponsored activities like NCC, NSS and self sponsored ones like art, music and games.
Dr. BV Pattabhi Ram, a psychologist and counselor of international repute will be leading the activities of the Center. The Center’s programmes are open to all the students of the SVVR Educational Society.
The campus is located at a healthy and picturesque area called “Flame of Forest” at about 40Km from the Hyderabad city centre, Andhra Pradesh. The location is known by its endemic presence of beautiful “Flame of Forest” grooves. SITECH is part of the integrated campus consisting of Sagar Business School (SBS), Sagar Institute of Technology (SITECH) and Food and Agribusiness School (FABS). The integrated campus has been developed in a sprawling 45 acre land. The infrastructure is so designed to have synergy among different Schools with individual buildings for each school and common facilities like library, administrative area, canteen etc. The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad is just 30 Km away from the campus.
SITECH has an excellent and uniquely designed library which is the pride of the institution. All the students will have access to the central library, which has the state-of-the-art infrastructural facilities. Efforts are made to make it as one of the finest libraries stocking books and journals both in physical and digital form.
Most of the innovative learning takes place while having a sip of coffee in a group. To cater to this need, a sprawling canteen with a modern kitchen is available with WiFi connectivity. This will be the best part of the campus and probably would turn out to be buzzing centre of activity in the campus.
Classrooms are specially designed in semi-circular theatre form that ensures participative learning. All the classrooms are smart classrooms equipped with the latest communication audio visual equipment. Each student admitted to the UNDER GRADUATE programmes can own a laptop on outright purchase basis at much competitive price from our selected vendor for total campus needs. Each student will be able to use his laptop from one’s seat in the classroom.
SITECH has the state-of-the-art Computer Lab. The students will be working in a WiFi enabled environment.
We are of the opinion that students learn as much from group work and interactions with fellow students as they learn from the instructors in classrooms. Hence, we provide hostel facilities to 30% of the total intake of students on first come first serve basis. The students will be provided comfortable and well furnished sharing accommodation with common chat rooms equipped with coffee dispensing machines. Separate blocks are provided for boys and girls.
Students should live not only in an intellectually stimulating environment but also should have facilities for physical activities to keep them fit. Facilities are created for indoor and outdoor sports like Table Tennis, Badminton, Basketball, Volleyball, Football and Cricket and possibly a gym for this purpose.
Transport will be provided to the hostel students for their weekly visits to the city for shopping and entertainment purposes.
Dr. Ethirajan G. Rajan, Director (SITECH) will lead the faculty team. The core faculty will be drawn from academic and industry streams. They will be supplemented with rich faculty resources available in Hyderabad as Visiting Faculty. They will be further reinforced with Guest Faculty from other parts of India and abroad. You would like to know that SITECH is seriously trying to forge alliances and partnerships with industries from within India, USA and other parts of the world.
Loans and Scholarships
SITECH will make all the efforts to arrange bank loans for all the needy students. SITECH will also provide some merit-cum-means scholarships in form of partial fee waiver.
The Institute will crate a placement cell which will make all efforts to help the graduating students to find suitable placement opportunities.
