Sagar Institute of Technology (SITECH), Chevella follows the foot steps of IITs and Birla Institute of Technology(BITS) with industry exposure programme for their students.

NAASCOM studies indicate that the employability of engineering students is hardly 25% of the passed out strength. It is also seen that the industry/companies have to spend lot of time and money to train the fresh graduates so as to make them useful and enable them to take on the responsibilities. This is due to the fact that the academic training while they are in the college, is more theoretical and university examination oriented. They lack practical understanding and not equipped fully with hands on experience in real time situations.

Industry demands for more practical oriented education with hands on exposure. Such exposure can only be ensured by better industry interaction and exposure to practical situations. Such exposure visits/attachments are part of the academics in IITs and BITS. SITECH with its vision to create global leaders by providing a platform for education, research and knowledge creation for molding socially responsible entrepreneurs/ professionals in technical and management fields.

Introduced industrial exposure/interaction/attachment right from 2nd year of engineering studies. The students of Civil, EEE, ECE, CSE branches have joined for industry training for a week in relevant industries such as Sagar Cements Ltd., Mattampally, Vikat Sagar, Thandur; Sagar Soft Pvt Ltd, Hyderabad.

The students have immensely benefitted with this initiative. Sri. V.Satyanarayana, Principal, SITECH informed that more such industry exposure training programmes will be organized to help the engineering students of SITECH to become more employable and job ready so that their placement in their final year will be easy.
