SVVR Educational Society and Alcorn State University, Mississippi Sate, USA had signed a MoU to work closely with each other. The Alcorn State University was headed by Dr. Samuel L. White, Dean of the School of Arts & Sciences and Director of Sponsored Programmes; Dr. Dovi Alipoe, Director of Global Programmes; Dr. Dalton H McAfee, Extension Administrator; Dr. C Ravindra Reddy, Project Director; and Mr. Ashwini Srivasta, Chief Information Officer.

The MoU was signed by Dr. K Prathap Reddy, Director, representing SVVR Educational Society group of institutions and Dr. Samuel L. White representing Alcorn State University. Both institutions have agreed to collaborate encompassing food and agri business management, general management and advanced technology systems, teleconferences and joint seminars, semester-long study abroad exchange of students, faculty exchanges and other collaborative teaching initiatives mutually agreeable to both parties.

In the short term in the next couple of years, the areas of collaboration include (a) faculty exchange, (b) summer internship for students, (c) sharing information and faculty resources through videoconferencing, and (d) research on small farmer – market linkages.
